TransferWise is a peer-to-peer money transfer service which was started in Europe -- the company presently supports transferring from US dollars to over 35 different currencies, and from 15 different currencies to their other currently supported currencies. This requires a creative approach working across teams to fight fraud, including the involvement of Customer Support. This presentation looks at that approach, and discusses the company's philosophy on hiring and team autonomy.
