Fighting fraud is a challenging task for online retailers, as fraud is being perpetrated in more and more sophisticated ways. This presentation details how and why the fraud landscape is changing, including tools and techniques available to fraudsters and to those trying to stop them. Four types of data which may be used to analyze user risk are reviewed next, followed by a look at two different kinds of models. The focus then turns to feature engineering and cardinality; key learnings round out the slides.
