Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Patreon’s business has grown immensely as creators across the globe began looking for ways to continue to make and fund art during shelter-in-place and the resulting economic uncertainty. In response to the growth online, Patreon started looking for opportunities to evolve its payment and fraud operations to provide its creators with the best possible experience and ensure they remained protected from fraud.
