Payments in Europe are ripe for disruption, and with the growing maturity of open banking, a new generation of providers is set to emerge and challenge the status quo with instant bank payments (aka Pay by Bank).  But if only it were that easy. This panel looks at why consumers are ready to embrace new ways to pay, but also what is holding back widespread adoption of Pay by Bank.

This session delves into what is needed to grow the category of open banking payments / Pay by Bank, and what will move the needle in 2025.

The orchestration layer, called Porsche Payment Service, consists of three key elements:

  1. Global API connections to various PSPs/Acquirers.
  2. The storage of over 400k network tokens for the MyPorsche ID.
  3. The Settlement Information Service (SIS), which consolidates different settlement files and facilitates the connection to SAP.

Porsche would like to reflect on our progress and challenges that we encounter serving close to 200 different merchant of records in the Porsche ecosystem
