Stablecoins have rapidly evolved from a crypto niche into a credible payments rail—but for most merchants, the question remains: is there real business value, or just noise?
This session walks through a real-world business case developed at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to evaluate enabling USD-denominated stablecoins for PlayStation users. Rather than focusing on theory, this session breaks down how to assess stablecoin acceptance as a practical payments optimization lever—using an existing processor that enables stablecoin acceptance while settling in fiat USD.
Attendees will gain a structured, operator-focused framework for evaluating stablecoins in a C2B context, including how to define success metrics, identify target markets, select partners, and incorporate lessons learned from early adopters. The session will also explore the current state of stablecoin adoption in merchant payments and which types of stablecoins are most viable for pilot programs today.
Designed for payments leaders, product managers, and finance stakeholders, this session demystifies stablecoins and equips attendees with a pragmatic approach to determining whether—and how—they can drive incremental revenue and profit.
