It has been over a year since Durbin 2.0 became effective, which was promised to alter the landscape of Card Not Present (CNP) debit routing throughout the United States. Over a year later, what really has changed? We have new CNP PINless debit issuers, new networks in Maestro and Interlink. The types of credentials that can be passed to PINless networks has expanded with network payment tokens. Looking back at the changes, we will review new options for merchants and the value they were promised vs. the value we are seeing in the market today.

Learning Objectives:

  • CNP PINless Maturity – Where are we now?
  • Interlink and Maestro – A year later
  • Debit Authorization Uplift – Taking debit routing beyond least cost
  • Network Tokens and PINless – Performance and Pitfalls
