One of the major changes being introduced in the revised Payment Services Directive, PSD2, is Strong Customer Authentication, which requires that companies use a minimum of two different authentication factors to verify online transactions in the European Economic Area. In this webinar, Forter shares a synopsis of PSD2 and the SCA provisions, followed by an overview of the PSD2 exemptions and a brief look at 3D Secure. The focus then shifts to ramifications of PSD2 SCA for merchants, centered on customer friction and authorization rates. Strategies to mitigate these impacts are then presented, along with details on Forter's PSD2 solution. The webinar concludes with Q&A.
