Global Board Officer Structure and Selection Process

MRC is now accepting nominations for Chair and Vice Chair (Chair-Elect) of the Global Board of Directors.

These leadership roles are instrumental in supporting effective Board governance, partnering with MRC’s executive leadership, and helping guide the organization’s continued growth and strategic direction.

The MRC Global Board of Directors is led by a Chair, Vice Chair (Chair-Elect), Treasurer, and Secretary. Officers are elected by the Global Board of Directors and serve in accordance with MRC's bylaws.

• The Chair provides leadership to the Global Board and serves as its primary liaison to the CEO.
• The Vice Chair serves as Chair-Elect and is expected to succeed the Chair at the conclusion of the Chair's term, subject to confirmation by the Global Board.
• The Treasurer provides financial oversight and chairs the Audit Committee.
• The Secretary supports the Board's governance responsibilities and chairs the Governance Committee.

Candidates for officer positions are evaluated in accordance with MRC's approved Director Qualifications Guidelines and applicable role-specific requirements.

Global Board Director Qualifications

MRC seeks experienced industry leaders who can contribute to the organization's strategic direction, governance, and long-term success.

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Senior executive leadership experience and an active connection to the payments, fraud prevention, digital commerce, or related industries.
• Relevant governance, financial, strategic, or industry expertise.
• The ability to represent the interests of MRC's global membership.
• A commitment to participating in quarterly Global Board meetings and supporting MRC's flagship events.
• The ability to contribute to the Board's collective breadth of industry, functional, and geographic perspectives.
• Preference given for candidates with prior board experience.s
