Join the MRC Certification Committee as a Public Member
We're looking for a passionate, engaged individual to serve as a Public Committee Member on the MRC Certification Committee.
As a voting member, you'll help guide the direction of our certification programs, ensuring decisions reflect not just industry priorities, but the public interest.
What’s a Public Committee Member?
A Public Committee Member is a representative of the consumers of services provided by certified professionals. You’ll bring a unique and vital perspective to our decision-making—one that’s independent of the eCommerce, payments, and fraud prevention industries.
This is a voting role with full participation, including the ability to serve on subcommittees and hold office.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who:
- Offers diversity of thought and can bring a fresh, objective lens to discussions.
- Does not work in commerce, payments, or fraud prevention.
- Puts the public interest first, especially when weighing industry-focused decisions.
- Is open-minded, inquisitive, and committed to meaningful dialogue.
- Understands the basics of certification and accreditation.
- Has confidence and diplomacy—able to speak up and stand firm, while respecting group consensus.
About the Certification Committee
As a committee member, you’ll:
- Vote on certification decisions and program updates
- Review and recommend disciplinary policies
- Serve on working groups and ad hoc initiatives
- Contribute to the ongoing development and analytics of certification exams
- Help identify partnerships that enhance the program
