Mentor Program
About the Mentor Program
The program is open to all members, regardless of experience level. Each mentorship runs for six months and is designed to foster thoughtful, goal-driven connections between mentors and mentees.
Participants are encouraged to meet for one hour per month, either virtually or in person. Mentors may support up to two mentees per year, allowing for meaningful engagement while balancing professional commitments.
Participation begins with completion of the Mentor Program Application Form, where members outline their goals as mentees or areas of expertise as mentors. The MRC team uses this information to thoughtfully match participants and support successful mentoring partnerships.
Program Schedule
The Mentor Program runs in two six-month cohorts each year:
- January - July (apply by 15 November)
- July - December (apply by 30 May)

Testimonials
As a merchant, I find the MRC Community to be extremely valuable—it’s truly my pulse on what’s happening in payments. It provides a unique space to connect with other merchants, share best practices, and stay informed on emerging trends and challenges. I especially appreciate the collaborative nature of the community, where we can come together to tackle issues that impact merchants collectively. The inclusion of forums that bring merchants and issuers together adds even more depth, offering a broader perspective that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Andrea Babcock, Sr. Manager, Payment Operations, NBC Universal
Being part of the MRC Community has been one of the most valuable parts of my professional life in payments. The forums are where real conversations happen - practitioners sharing actual experience, not just theory. I’ve learned from those discussions, contributed where I could, and always walked away with something useful. The Community Calls are a great complement to that. They bring a different kind of connection - more direct, more personal - and I always find them worth the time. What I appreciate most is that the MRC Community is a place where people are genuinely willing to help each other.
Ben Herut Head of Risk, Chargeflow
The MRC Community is the place where you can meet payment and risk experts from all over the world. The Online Community Forums are a great place to exchange knowledge with industry peers and find quick, practical answers to questions that keep you up at night. The Community Calls offer highly engaging discussions on current trends and best practices. The more you engage, the more you receive from this wonderful community, which consistently supports my work with valuable insights and fosters meaningful industry connections.
