Mentor Program
About the Mentor Program
The program is open to all members, regardless of experience level. Each mentorship runs for six months and is designed to foster thoughtful, goal-driven connections between mentors and mentees.
Participation begins with completion of the Mentor Program Application Form, where members outline their goals as mentees or areas of expertise as mentors. The MRC team uses this information to thoughtfully match participants and support successful mentoring partnerships.
Program Schedule
The Mentor Program runs in two six-month cohorts each year:
- January - July (apply by 15 November)
- July - December (apply by 30 May)
Why Mentorship?
Mentorship is a powerful driver of professional growth — for both mentors and mentees. Through shared experiences, open dialogue, and trusted connections, the MRC Mentor Program helps members navigate challenges, build confidence, and accelerate their careers within the payments and fraud-prevention ecosystem.
The program is designed to make meaningful mentorship achievable alongside busy professional lives. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to connect for one hour each month, virtually or in person, creating dedicated time to share perspectives, work through challenges, and learn from one another. Mentors can support up to two mentees per year, helping ensure each relationship has the time and attention to make a real impact.
Support professional development through meaningful knowledge sharing and real-world insights.
Help motivate and develop the next generation of industry leaders.
Expand your own perspective and career through a mutually beneficial mentorship partnership.
Testimonials
I have had the privilege of guiding my mentees through some challenging times at work and being a source of support. I’ve provided a safe place for them to talk about sensitive subjects that they could not easily discuss at work. It’s very rewarding to help someone, however big or small the problem. I also continue to learn as a mentor. The process has improved my leadership skills and provided opportunities to evaluate my own views while offering great satisfaction in helping others.

Being a mentor in the MRC Mentorship Program made me a better leader, and I feel privileged that I get to help guide my mentee’s career path. I’m always trying to grow professionally, lead my team in a more supportive way, and contribute back, and the MRC Mentorship Program allowed me to do that.

Through the Mentor Program, I’ve overcome my own imposter syndrome by sharing valuable experiences and industry skills. I was able to provide guidance to someone who wanted to solve challenges and grow in their career. That was really meaningful.
