Erroneously declined transactions create undesirable consequences for cardholders, issuers, acquirers, and merchants as online shoppers generally have little or no understanding of why a transaction was declined and merchants typically do not know how to proceed. Decline reason codes have also become less useful over time, with many issuers defaulting a majority of their declines to a single code or codes where the definitions are useless to acquirers and merchants.

This webinar examines the changes Visa is making to help lift approval rates, reduce authorization misuse, and cluster decline reason codes into four categories. An extensive Q&A period is included to help provide context on the implications of these changes for issuers, acquirers, and especially merchants.
