Despite the prevelence of machine learning and other technologies, most online retailers employ a fraud operations team to mitigate lost revenue, spot emerging fraud trends, and protect legitimate customers. At MRC Vegas 2019, a panel discussion was held to give attendees a framework for creating a fraud team -- topics covered included structure, performance measurement, and manual review. The discussion closed with thoughts on customer experience and communication.
