Symantec is a large cybersecurity software company which is forced to tackle a range of fraud types, including some beyond "traditional" card-not-present payment fraud. This presentation explores a pair of these other fraud MOs -- affiliate fraud and trialware abuse -- detailing each problem, root causes, and financial impact. Actions taken to mitigate these problems are highlighted, along with results observed. Five takeaways conclude the deck.
